Please don't pull the "sub atomic quantum level mystical" science card until you understand BASIC science:
. . . How dilute? Serious dilution, as in comparable to one drop diluted in all the water on Earth. . . no molecules of the original substance were left in most homeopathic dilution . . .

You begin your article on the premise that homeopathic practitioners start by doing a "proving" to figure out what remedy to use, and you are wrong - so how can we take you seriously.

A properly educated homeopath, usually an MD or ND, studies the patient's symptoms and tries to match those symptoms with the appropriate remedy, based on their experience, and knowledge of various Materia Medica. They don't initiate a proving.

"Provings" for homeopathic remedies are not done by modern homeopaths, they have been done throughout history, and the results are written in numerous books known as "Materia Medica". Additionally, organizations like HPCUS (Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention of the United States), list approved remedies, the source and process by which they should be made in order to comply with HPCUS standards. This organization works with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to assure that quality of material, manufacturing standards and the appropriate labeling is applied to products.

Lastly, homeopathy is not a "belief system". Modern science and technologies are beginning to open doors to our understanding of the sub-atomic world, and this is also giving researchers insights as to how homeopathy works. If you can't wait for that proof, then check the 100's of clinical trials done in Europe and the United States.

"Let’s say you aren’t sleeping well. You could go to an MD and get a prescription sleeping pill that only works a little better than a placebo and has side effects"

Why are doctors prescribing drugs that are, by your admission, ineffective and dangerous? Sounds like they're worse scam artists than the homeopaths.
