It’s official, human actions and activities are causing climate change and global warming. At least that is what a new climate report from the UN is saying. The report, to be released 2 February 2007, is expected to end the debate between those that believe humans are causing climate change and those that feel we are not.
Over 2,000 scientists from around the world were involved in the findings which conclude that the majority of global warming since the middle of the last century has been caused by human-created greenhouse gases. The report states that it is “very likely that hot extremes, heat waves and heavy precipitation events will continue to become more frequent” and reinforces what most of us already know, eleven of the last 12 years have been the hottest in the Earth’s recent history. In fact, all of the Earth’s continents, except Antarctica, have warmed over the past 50 years, the biggest impact being in the northern regions.
Keep an eye out for the report when it comes out, it should be an interesting, yet worrying, read. To read more about the report and some initial findings that have been released…click here. Reuters just posted its story on it as well …click here.

Hey Father Dan, check this out: Seattle area school district bans Inconvenient Truth because the teachers aren’t showing “alternative view points” specifically that “the Bible says the world will end in fire.” J-s F-king Chr– the fundamental Christians are out of control (and their minds)! http://archives.seattletimes.n.....e=20070116
Will someone please hire me out of this liberal hell state of Washington?
