Oh, remember that senior year in high school. The nervousness of asking a high school sweetheart to the prom, getting fitted for your first tuxedo, and then receiving your “Prom Protection Package” from your class advisors. That is exactly what was told to parents recently in my own town of Selden, NY. It seems this letter was sent, through the high schools mailing system, to parents of seniors preparing for the prom. It told them that the school would furnish the students with “a “Protection Package” of condoms and lubricants for the senior prom.” Although the principal said it was “Inexcusable, offensive and quite frankly demeaning of all individuals” I have heard that many parents laughed it off for what it actually was - a prank. No need to threaten “mail fraud” for the inventive senior, take that chill pill and take better control of your mail system. Congratulations to the Newfield High School Senior Class of 2004![What Do YOU Think? Comment on this Post!] [Testify!]
