Viva California! - San Francisco now has the dubious distinction of being the most expensive place in California to buy gas. According to AAA, San Francisco’s average gas price is $2.14 per gallon. In Oakland, the average gas price is now $2.05. That is an all-time record for Oakland. In San Jose, the average is $2.04, just 2 cents lower than the record for that city.

Let’s see, my Insight gets 60mpg, 10 gallon tank, so @ $2 a tank $20 gets me (on average) 600 miles! Cool! The higher the gas price the beter deal my car becomes. Kick it up a few bucks. Isn’t “petrol” in most Europe around $5.00 a gallon on average? Anyone know? In the meantime, enjoy your 15mpg SUV. Great choice for a work commute vehicle there Daniel Boone.[Comment on this Post]
